The Collections

The collections are individually designed. No two are alike. The majority are custom framed. Most are triple matted, using acid free mats. The custom frames are finished with conservation glass. They are designed to be unique, significant tributes to the artist and to preserve the collection for many years. There will also be collections that may not lend themselves to traditional frames designed to be hung, so they may be assembled in a different way. We are corrently working on a collection that will display in acrylic cubes.

Authenticity

Each signed item comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity from Million Dollar Artists. Those aquired from other collectors will also come with COA’s from the collections where they were acquired. Some items come with photos showing the pieces being autographed.

In many cases the pieces that I acquired are duplicates of my own collections. In those instances, I personally have compared the pieces I acquired from others within my own collection. I will be the first to admit that most COA’s are worth no more than the people and companies that stand behind them.

You are buying from a company and a person that is an active participant in the entertainment business now, and a person whose integrity is important to him.

We have applied for membership in the Universal Autograph Collectors Club (UACC,) and use their Code of Ethics as our template of the way we will do business. We maintain a copy of the UACC’s list of expelled and censured collectors, and are careful not to buy items from these collectors. We are not registered dealers; you must be a member for three years before you can apply for this designation. We respect the UACC and what they stand for, but ultimately it is our integrity that you must depend on.

Each display piece is affixed with a Million Dollar Artists plate on the frame. We are proud of our collection and proud to have our name on them. If any autographed item in any of our collections is examined by a forensic expert and documented to not be genuine, we guarantee to replace the item at no charge. Forensic examination fees are the responsibility of the buyer. They must be submitted to us by registered mail, by a known forensic handwriting expert, and must be done from an original piece, not from a scan or photo of the item.

Our collections are made up of many unique items. If any piece of a collection is found to be not a genuine autograph, our only responsibility will be the replacement of the individual item and to supply a revised description of the items. Million Dollar Artists will not assume responsibility for re framing the peices.

We just started selling these collections, so there is no track record for you to judge, or feedback that you can evaluate. It probably always will be this way to a certain extent. We are not dealers in volume. We will only produce a few collections each month.

Our main business is representing the artists we manage or those on our label. The collections are more than a hobby to us, but they are not what pays our bills, our artists come first.

Each collection consists of two to four pieces. It is not our intention to break up the collection or sell any piece individually.

Extras

One of the problems inherent in framed collections is that the owner loses the ability to see the displayed item contents. The back side of an album, the inside pages of a tour book, the inside panels of a CD are examples.

We have tried to solve this problem, as best we can, without giving you the ability to easily open up the display and take the item out to handle. This, we feel would be detrimental to the long term preservation of the items.

Prior to framing, whenever possible, we use a scanner to capture these images so that the owner of the collection has the ability to see what is behind the display items. Most of these extras will be provided to the buyer on a CD. In some instances there may be paper documents provided. As an example, in one artist collection we have a copy of their divorce papers. The front page is displayed in the framed collection. The entire document will be provided to the buyer. In another collection (Prince,) a 20th anniversary DVD is included of Purple Rain. In collections for John Denver, Moody Blues, Eagles, Neil Diamond, Ray Charles and others we have included a CD which shows the insides of the tour books contained in the collections. Most artist displays will have the back side of the signed albums that are available for viewing on a CD.

On each collection description look for the Extras section to see what is included.

Shipping

We will carefully pack and ship each display for shipment. Because the collections are multiple pieces, this is a time consuming process requiring premium packaging materials . We can not quote shipping prices in advance. Once the sale is complete, we will send you the cost of shipping. This cost will be calculated on the weight of the items, the distance they are to be shipped, and the materials necessary to pack the collection adequately for shipment. Because of the different weights and distances involved, we can not quote the amount for shipping in advance. Once the piece is sold we will calculate the shipping price, based on your address, and send that to you, by email.

Insurance

If you would consider shipping these displays without insurance you should not buy one. The displays are constructed to be durable and will be packed with great care. We make nothing on the insurance. It just is good common sense to provide for loss in items of this quality. We will take NO responsibility for items shipped without insurance. The cost of the insurance will be forwarded to you prior to finalizing the sale.

We realize that this variable cost of shipping and insurance is a pain, but these are not stock items easily shipped.

If you can’t afford to pay for the insurance, you can’t afford to have the collection.

Previews of Coming Attractions

I have collection materials on the following list of artists (artists are listed in alphabetical order by the first letter in their name.) If you have an interest in purchasing a tribute collection for a particular artist (whether on this list or not) please email me at artistinterest@milliondollarartists.com. Those artists who have the most fans expressing interest in purchasing a particular artists, those collections will be completed first.
